Axonius Review 2026: Asset Intelligence Across Every Tool You Already Run
Top pick: correlated asset inventory across many tools
Bottom line
Axonius ranks first in our asset inventory ranking at 76 out of 100. It is the strongest tool here at turning what many security and IT tools report into one reconciled record per asset. It does not publish prices, and reaching full coverage means connecting an adapter for each source.
How does Axonius score?
76 / 100
Rank 1 of 7
Source coverage
Weight 22%More than 1,200 adapters, and the platform page lists devices, identities, SaaS, software, cloud, IoT and OT as covered asset types.
Correlation and deduplication
Weight 18%Reconciling what each connected tool reports into one record per asset is the core of the product.
Data freshness
Weight 12%Data refreshes on each discovery cycle, so freshness depends on cycle frequency and on each source tool.
Query and reporting
Weight 12%Query Wizard plus a natural language interface across the whole asset footprint.
Remediation and write-back
Weight 14%Enforcement actions include creating, updating and removing assets in ServiceNow; ticket workflows themselves run in the ITSM tool.
Deployment effort
Weight 12%Each adapter needs API access and credentials, so time to full coverage grows with the number of tools connected.
Price transparency
Weight 10%No price published. The site offers "Get Pricing" through sales.
Coverage and trust score (editorial assessment, 0-100). It measures how completely and reliably a tool can tell a security or IT team what assets exist, who owns them and what state they are in. It is not a measure of overall product quality: service management platforms and lifecycle tools score lower here because inventory accuracy is one part of what they do.
What is Axonius?
Axonius describes itself as an asset intelligence platform. The Axonius Asset Cloud connects to the tools a company already runs, such as endpoint management, EDR, identity providers, cloud consoles, vulnerability scanners and the CMDB, through more than 1,200 adapters. It reconciles what those tools report into one record per asset, then lets teams query that data and act on it. Covered asset types on the platform page are devices, identities, SaaS, software, cloud, IoT and OT.
Axonius does not scan for vulnerabilities itself. It aggregates and correlates findings from the scanners and tools already in place.

Where does Axonius lead?
- Correlation and deduplication (90, first). Matching records from many tools into one asset, and showing where those tools disagree, is what the product is built around. That is the job this ranking weights most heavily after coverage.
- Source coverage (92, first). More than 1,200 adapters, and dedicated coverage for SaaS apps (sanctioned, unsanctioned and unmanaged, including OAuth tokens and risky extensions) and for human and non-human identities such as service accounts and API keys.
- Acting on the data. Bi-directional integrations and an Enforcement Action Library run single actions or multi-step sequences with ticket tracking. For ServiceNow, documented actions include creating, updating and disabling or removing assets.

Where does Axonius fall short?
What does Axonius cost?
Not published. Contact sales. We score price transparency at 15 out of 100 for this reason.
How is Axonius deployed?
Two options are documented. Axonius-hosted SaaS runs on an AWS EC2 instance that Axonius describes as fully separated from other customers' environments, in any available EC2 region. Customer-hosted deployments run on a virtual appliance inside the customer's network, on premises or in a private cloud.

Does Axonius replace a CMDB like ServiceNow?
No. Axonius reads the CMDB as one of its sources, compares it with what EDR, endpoint management, identity and cloud tools report, and can create or update records in ServiceNow. The CMDB stays the system of record for IT workflows.

Is Axonius the right pick?
Pick it if
- You run many security and IT tools and they disagree about what exists.
- You need SaaS apps and identities in the same inventory as devices and cloud.
- You want to push corrected data into ServiceNow and other tools.
Look elsewhere if
- You need a published price before talking to sales (JupiterOne, Lansweeper, runZero).
- You need a network scan today with no integrations to set up (runZero, Lansweeper).
- Your main gap is passive OT, IoT or medical device visibility (Armis).
